There are many innovative uses for infrared thermography, and at Sleuth Building Diagnostics, we are testing new applications everyday. Other innovative uses for infrared thermography include Fluid/Heat Transfer and Site Utilities, JCAHO Compliance, and HVAC/Refrigeration Systems.
Fluid/Heat Transfer and Site Utilities
Infrared thermography can be used to evaluate fluid transfer systems such as pumps, underground steam or chilled water lines and steam traps. With this technology, Sleuth Building Diagnostics can detect blockages and poor thermal distribution.
JCAHO Compliance
Infrared thermography in a hospital environment is helpful in order to comply with the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO) for electrical panel certifications and reporting of predicting maintenance plans.
HVAC/Refrigeration Systems
Identify problems, determine inefficiencies in radiant ceiling panels, radiators, panel heaters, carpet heaters, and electric blankets. Infrared thermography can be used to detect electrical, air leaks, energy loss, heat exchanger efficiency, clogged condenser/heat exchanger tubes. Cooling/hot water/steam leaks, pumps, air locks, duct work leaks, commercialization tests of refrigerators, air conditioners and room coolers.
